OVERVIEW

It started with trying to find the right food for my cat.

After my cat had some urinary health issues and eventually transitioned off prescription food, I became much more mindful of what went into her bowl.


But finding food that felt right for her specific needs meant digging through product details, researching ingredients, comparing options, and keeping track of everything I’d already looked at.


Pawcheck started as a small AI experiment to make that process a little easier.

THE PROBLEM

A lot of tabs, tools, and homework for one can of cat food.

I first had to learn what mattered for my cat, from phosphorus and calcium to magnesium, ash, carbs, and more.


For every product, I’d hunt down missing nutrition data, do the calculations, compare it against my criteria, ask AI for a second opinion, and log it all in a spreadsheet. And if anything changed? Time to check it all over again.


It’s difficult for couples to decide on gifts because of unclear preferences, hesitation around commitment, and the emotional pressure of choosing “the right” gift. - something I personally struggle with :(


This challenge led us to ask:
